Hello everyone,
I am interested in creating a gadget for desktop sidebar displaying
latest notices in our college.
Going into details:
In our Institute we have internal lan INTRANET almost every student
have laptop,we have have local portal for displaying all latest
news,events and notices of our college,but many of us don't use this
as we need to navigate to it through web browser and disabling proxy
etc..
I wanted to create a new desktop gadget which retrieves information
from this portal displays it onto directly to desktop gadget(we don't
need any internet connection as it is fully LAN based)
So,I need ur suggestions as where to start from,I read Google code for
creating gadgets but those are for publishing onto igoogle etc.
I need to develop gadget on to desktop which retrieves information
from local portal.
Guyz please help me on this would be much neede utility for us.
